SEM 1 RESULTS OUT!

There I was yesterday, stuck in a stupid trafic jam, horribly anxious about my results. Called up Christabel, and found out that the results were out already! Worse still, it was raining outside. My whole legs went soft like jelly, my adrenal medulla depleted all the source of catecholamines, my heart beats became irregular and bla bla bla. In short, I'm DEAD nervous! And the stupid traffic jam makes it worse!

Finally reached IMU after 15 minutes delay. Saw all the SOS memebers at Food Ave, all with cheerful faces. All of them pass then! Hooray! Praise God! Now let's juz hope I pull it off... Off I ran to the MPH, then realizing that the ppl have moved to AAD, I rushed there to get my results. Got the paper, tear out the edge... and, well... I'm both glad and slightly disappointed.

Got all A's for my Summative 1, Summative 2, and End of Semester 1 Finals. I've achieved my goals, but there's juz this one tiny little ugly spot... For the End of Semester, there are 2 components: Short Answer Questions (SAQ) and Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE). Earlier, I mentioned that I'm more confident in scoring my SAQ compared to OSPE... Turns out that I did better in OSPE... Got an A- for my SAQ!!!! Argh... So there it is, that stupid A- marring the rest of the results, juz as my Chinese Language marred my PMR and SPM and Physics and Mathematics of Data Management marred my CPU results!

I'm indeed very thankful that I've passed (with flying colours, I guess), but I can nv forgive myself for that A-. I know that I CAN get an A for my SAQ, but heck what went wrong? I guess there's only 1 conclusion... I haven't been studying hard enough! And considering that Sem 1 is the easiest semester in IMU, and the fact that I can't even get an A for my SAQ, I seriously need to push myself further for the coming 2 semesters (that have "killed" so many med students, I must add). But for now...

HOLIDAY!!! Yuck... Now that I've lost all sorts of anticipation since the results are out, I seriously hope (in vain) that my holidays will be productive (some case here as urs, Heng Jeng)!. I have some plans in mind already, and let's hope that I can execute them!

1. Bible study - Gonna do an in-depth bible study this time around. I've always juz read it thru and nv throughoutly think and analyze the passages. Gonna take down notes and write summaries this time! Not to mentioned memorizing some helpful verses! I've started the 1st 3 chapters of Romans adi, and everything seems promising so far!

2. Relearn my guitar - After searching hopelessly for my lost tenancy agreement for the past few days, I've accidentally found my old Guitar beginners manuscript. Started to feel a pang of sadness and regret that I have to stop learning guitar halfway thru my form 5 (my parents force me to focus solely on SPM and drop everything else), I figured that I can relearn all the skills that I've forgotten. Now all I need is to fiz up my guitar again! Gonna buy the strings soon!

3. Taichi catch up - Got lots of catching up to do for Tai Chi... Man, Chu Kin, Robert, and Jee Ken have finished learning all the 108 steps already! And I've only started learning yesterday! Juz reached the 57th step today, and half more to go! I seriously dowan to be left behind in class, so gotta work really hard now!!!

4. Enjoy my elective! - I guess that I would definitely do. After all, can scuba diving be dull and boring? Hope everything goes well with the trip... Still dun hear any news for the elective so far from Paul, Thaven or Gowri... Hmmmm...

5. Be optimistic about my visit to India - Gonna fly to India around mid-August with my uncle to attend my cousin's graduation at Manipal Medical College. Well, I'm both very excited and very anxious of the trip. Excited, bcuz I really wanna explore Manipal and get to know my cousin's life there, and also observe some of India's culture. Anxious, bcuz I'm seriously picky when it comes to food... I can't stand green vege, I can't stand spicy food (not even the slightest), and I can't stand lots of other stuff... So well, let's hope I dun starve during my visit!

6. Watch good movies and animes! - Memento, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun have been really enjoyable so far. Looking forward for Pulp Fiction, Gone With The Wind and Edward Scissorhands next! Still searching for a potentially excellent anime title! Gonna search for the titles at Chow Kit Road and Sungei Wang Plaza!

And there u have it! My plans for the holiday! Hopefully all goes well!
