Pain pain... <=( Mum juz returned around 11.30pm and I told her about my "heavy loss"... Guess wat? She gave a beautiful RM 50 note!!! Yeehaa!!! So I dun waste any of my money on those at all!!! >=)

I must be more careful from now onwards... Dowan to go through another period of time without my handphone with me!!!

HOT HOT DAY...

The weather really has gone crazy here... After weeks of heavy rain, today is unnaturally hot!!! Sweat a lot the whole day... In fact, it was so hot that I have to "hide" in the cyber cafe while waiting for the bus!!! Very much cooler in there!!! Sigh... Well, Mr. Ho's bus came this morning, but I see no sign of my student ID... Lost for good... ;( Paid RM 25 for my new student ID... RM 25!!! So dang expensive!!! I also stoopidly completing my homework in the cafeteria, since that I thought without my ID, I'll nv get to enter the library... The truth is, all I need is juz to ask for a temporal ID!!! Duh... And the student services clerk dun mentioned about it also... Bad bad clerk... >=( So I'll get my new ID tomorrow... Wat a waste of my money!!! >=(

By the way, my cousin Teck Wei has abandoned his old blog n is starting a new one!!! Click here to visit it!!! We also have a nice time "chatting"... using the tagboard!!! Hahaha... This is so so weird... He was online when I was tagging... So we're like sending msg to each other via tag board!!! Maybe I should try more of those next time!! >=)
1ST THE SHOE, THEN THE HANDPHONE, NOW THE STUDENT CARD...

This is a bad bad week... Last Sunday, my shoe was chewed by a dog... Yesterday, my handphone cover got stuck... And now, my student card was lost, probably dropped in the bus or something... Shucks... >=( Juz as I came down from the bus, I realized that my student card is not with me!!! Argh... The reason it dropped is bcos I wear it too often, n sometimes when I stand up, the clipper on the card will banged with the table, n the card is torn little by little this way... Aawww... I shouldn't have wear it so often!!! I wanna call Jayne in the bus then to search for me in the bus b4 she gets off from it, but my handphone is not with me!!! It's with my cousin!!! Haven't fixed it!!! And all the contact numbers that I have is in the stoopid handphone!!! ARGH!!!

Called Jayne juz now, after I got her no. from Kenny through ICQ... Guess what? She dun saw it... And then I called Mr. Ho... and he didn't saw it either... Shoot!!! I dun mind that stooopid fine for a new student card, but wat am I supposed to do tomorrow during my free time if I CAN'T ENTER THE LIBRARY WITHOUT THE STUDENT CARD?! AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I feel like destroying things now!!! Hopefully I'll go by Mr. Ho's bus tomorrow... Oh pls pls be Mr. Ho's bus!!! That way I can search for my stooopid student card!!! Argh, I'm so agitated now!!! >=@

And let's not forget the stooopid cheerleading performance... I'VE WASTED 40 MINUTES OF MY PRECIOUS TIME WAITING FOR THOSE INEFFICIENT GIRLS TO START THEIR STOOOPID PERFORMANCE!!! They're nowhere in sight even after I've waited for so long!!! &*^$&!@*!!! Should have juz ignored Jayne's request and spend my time on more important stuff, such as my homework which has started to piled up... I've waited from 11 to 11.40, n since that those stooopid girls were yet to be seen, n went for my TAP session by then... It's not only after the TAP finished that those stooopid girls started their stooopid performance in their ugly costumes. N then, they performed it so far from the designated area, that all I could see is a bunch of dummies clapping hands, jumping, kicking on the air etc in those unbearably ugly costumes!!! Ewww... How embarassing... A total waste of my time!!! This week really is a lousy week!!! Juz hope I can get my student card tomorrow!!! =S

Tooya, from Ayashi No Ceres. I know he's cute here, but not the 'cute' I have in mind... I'm still searching for more serious pics of him... If u guys found any, pls inform me!!! Preferably Tooya in the green suit n the 'dog collar'!!! Thx!!!
ANNOYING GIRL, LOUSY HANDPHONE...

Went back late today bcos a few of the SAM students in the bus were having their Physics test till 4.30pm... But the bus only left by 4.45pm!!! They r juz so so late... Brrr... >=@ By the time I reached home, it's 5:10pm already. Tired, I took off my shirt (The collar is uncomfortably tight) n took a nap in my room... Then suddenly, my maid told me that someone called me on the phone. Being a shy guy, I hurriedly pulled my shirt from the table and wear it at once... It was then that my handphone was dragged along with my shirt and fell on the floor... I dun really took notice of it, but quickly rushed to answer the call... Only to found out it's Shu Yin, who I found very annoying... She always call me at the worst timing, n keep on crapping n crapping non stop... Eeeee, I hate talkative girls!!! Worse, she nv get my hinting everytime I hinted her that I'm not interested in the going-to-nowhere chit chat. I have to give her excuses everytime I wanna stop talking with her... Annoying!!! >=@

It was not only till I'm having my dinner that I found out my handphone is really in a bad shape... The cover on one side has opened, but the other side is still tightly shut. I tried to remove the cover, but can't... It's stuck!!! Duh... I lost my appetite then, n struggling to fix that stoopid handphone cover. After 30 minutes or so, I gave up... I called my cousin, who happens to be a handphone expert, to fix it. He arrived at my house soon, but was unable to fix it still. Since the talkpiece also have some problems, he took the handphone with him to fix it. Sigh... Juz hope I dun really need the handphone for a day... Hope I can survive that long wothout my handphone!!! <=/

Oh btw, Azzedin has started his own blog too!!! Whoa... Jayne really has made blogs trendy in Taylor's... But personally, I think everyone should have their own blog, to voice out their thoughts and share it with the rest of the world through the net... Anyway, I'll add a link to Azzedin's blog at my links column (The green column at the left). Click here to enter "The Krow's Nest", Azzedin's very own blog!

CLOSE CALL

I planned to attend tonight's Praise and Worship cum Prayer Night in church since earlier last week. Yesterday, my mum suddenly "ordered" me to prepare my sis n 2 of my cousins for their exam. Normally, I'll told her about me wanna attending church for the nite, n endure her long and tedious lecture on how much hard she n dad work everyday, n how I should go give sum help in the factory during the weekend, how irresponsible I am to juz drive around when they work like mad, n how irresponsible I am for not teaching my sis for her exam, n how much worries I caused her for driving myself to church at nite, n better if i dun go at nite, bla bla bla... That's exactly how she scolded me last week when I told her I'll be driving to church... So I decide to juz go without telling her, n start the tuition earlier at 2pm.

I do the teaching on the afternoon, science n kajian tempatan... Really tiring... Then we ordered McDonalds through phone, n enjoying our dinner around 6.30pm... Then mum unexpectedly returned at 6.45pm... Uh oh... Juz as I'm about to go to church... Worse still, I told my CG leader that I'll be there by 7pm!!! So i gotta wait patiently for my mum to leave 1st, then I can only "take my leave"... But u know women... It took her a long long time b4 she finished clean-up, make-up, n dress-up... When she leave the house, it's already 7.25pm!!! I still have to fetch a fren of mine b4 i go to church!!! So a few minutes after she left, I gave my sis n cousins some math exercises n rushed out...

By the time I reached church, it's already 7.55pm... Luckily for me, my duty as an usher was very easy... Juz collect the offering n pass the prayer item lists to my CG members... Phew... Then the Praise and Worship cum Prayer Nite begins... Whoa... It's very spiritually enriching, but both physically n mentally exhausting too... We begin with an ice-breaker, then it is P&W, prayer, P&W, prayer, P&W, prayer, n so on... Of course, there's some presentation in between, like choir n mime, but it's mostly singing P&W n praying on specific areas, such as our Youth Ministry, our church building project, oversea missionaries, CGs, n our country. I haven't been so overflow with the Spirit for such a long time... Sigh... If only I can attend church more often!!! Guess I have to wait till I'm old enough bcos I can be baptized... For now, my parents dun let me... My mum is quite a devout Buddhist, n my dad told me it's best to be a free thinker... But I'll wait patiently for now, in hope that the fruit of the Holy Spirit can clearly be shown in me, so that I could be a good testimony to my family!

During the P&W, my mum actually called me!!! Nevetheless, I dun answer her call, bcos I wanna dedicated that time to God, n I want no worldly concern to distract me. I thought that she must have found out that I've already left my house... But I dun worry about it, I left everything to God. On my way home, I turned my car on a junction without really slowing down, n in 4th gear!!! I was wondering then how come that it's so hard for me to turn the wheel, until I realized that the engine was dead!!! N behind me, a car accelerate in a very fast speed towards me!!! Instinctively, I turn the keys back n fro, without stopping down the car!!! I was re-starting my engine while my car was moving!!! Luckily the driver behind my car was alert enough to slow down juz b4 he or she hit my car... Thank God!!! That really was a close call!!! I must be careful next time...

When I reached home, my parents weren't home yet. N I'm really surprised that my mum didn't call home earlier!!! Then she couldn't have known that I'm out!!! Then I figured this whole thing out... My mum tried to call home but couldn't get through the line bcos my bro was chatting with his fren... Thinking that we're connecting to the Internet, she called my handphone instead... Since I dun answer her call, she must have given up contacting us... Imagine if the line get through either of the 2 phones n she found out I'm gone... So is this coincidence? I definitely dun think so!! Indeed, God works in mysterious ways!!! My mum never found out that I went to church!!! Praise God!!! So no long n tiring scolding at nite!!! >=)

Oh n about the dog... Well, I did chained it n gave her some beating, but no extreme abuse or anything... I hoped that it got what I mean of not chewing other ppl's shoes anymore... But I doubt it understood... Stooopid dog... It was quiet the whole time I beat her... Dun even utter a sound... I suspects that it dun understand y i beat it at all... Must have been really confused... Dogs are dumb... >=( Hope I get a pair of new shoes soon!!

THE DOG WILL PAY...

My maid juz found out one of my shoe is gone... Fearing the worst, I embarked on the quest to recover my missing shoe... I found it in 5 minutes time... 3 holes, all dirtied, n disfigured... The STOOPID DOG CHEW MY SHOE!!! >=@ It will pay for it, I guarantee that. 1st, I got to get a dog collar chain... Then let's see... A pail of boiled water, broomstick, some stones (The bigger the better), wat else? Rat poison? Tempting, but I dowan a dead dog in my house... No matter wat, it will pay, n I'll make sure there's NO ESCAPE!!! >=)
I MISS INDY...

Raiders of The Lost Ark

Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom

Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade

It's been a while since I've watched any of the Indiana Jones movies... The buzz created by Tomb Raider 2: The Cradle of Life keep reminds me of how much the movie tried to imitate the Indy movies, but fails... I can't remember much of the Indy movies now, except a Nazi villain burned by a hot medallion (or something like that) and some mysterious lights killing Nazis for Raiders of the Lost Ark... Voodoo, snake-eating, and a mine cart chase for The Temple of Doom. But I could still remember The Last Crusade quite well, since that's the most recent Indy movie I've watched... I remember the opening scene on a ship with a young Indy, Indy's father played by Sean Connery, Indy's dad chase a bunch of doves away with his umbrella, the grail n etc... I really do miss the movies now... They're my favourite movies when I was still a kid, together with the old Star Wars trilogy... Anyone of u has these movies? If u do, pls tell me!!! I wanna watch all 3 all over again!!! >=)
PRAISES FOR THE LORD OF THE RINGS

"Among the greatest works of imaginative fiction of the twentieth century."
- Sunday Telegraph

"An extraordinary work - pure excitement."
- New York Times Book Review

"One of the great fairy-tale quests in modern literature."
- Time

"A remarkable book."
- Newsweek

"One of the very few works of genius in recent literature."
- New Republic

"A work of immense narrative power that can sweep the reader up and hold him enthralled for days and weeks."
- The Nation

"The Lord of the Rings is a narrative of rare imagination, filled with wit, compassion, startling power and lyrical beauty."
- Commentary

"The most original and varied creation ever seen in the genre, and certainly the most self-consistent; yet it is tied up with and bridged to reality like no other fantasy . . . Tolkien has made his world a prodigious, and, so far as I can judge, unshakable construct of the imagination."
- Douglass Parker, Hudson Review

"Tolkien's stories take place against a background of measureless depth . . . That background is ever-present in the creator's mind and it gives Frodo and company a three-dimensional reality that is seldom found in this kind of writing."
- Washington Post Book World

"A masterful story - an epic in its own way - with elements of high adventure, suspense, mystery, poetry and fantasy."
- Boston Sunday Herald

"A grim, tragic, brooding and beautiful book, shot through with heroism and hope . . . its power is almost that of mysticism."
- Toronto Globe & Mail

"Here are beauties which pierce like swords or burn like cold iron."
- C. S. Lewis

"The first thing one asks of an adventure story is that the adventure should be various and exciting . . . Tolkien's invention is unflagging."
- W. H. Auden

Praises for The Fellowship of the Ring
(Being the first part of The Lord of the Rings)

"No fiction I have read in the last five years has given me more joy."
- W. H. Auden

"Filled with marvel and strange terrors . . . an extraordinary and distinguished piece of work."
- New York Herald Tribune

"A unique, wholly realized other world, evoked from deep in the well of Time, massively detailed, absorbingly entertaining, profound in meaning."
- New York Times

Praises for The Two Towers
(Being the second part of The Lord of the Rings)

"An extraordinary work - pure excitement, unencumbered narrative, moral warmth, bare-faced rejoicing in beauty, but excitement most of all."
- New York Times Book Review

"One of the best wonder tales ever written."
- Boston Herald

"Here is a wonderful story, set in a world which paralyzes the imagination, and told in magnificent prose. What more can an author give?"
- Chicago Tribune

"[Tolkien's] imagination can create regions that really are ghastly or really heavenly. He can create creatures that are incredibly credible. His is a never never land that seems real while you are in it."
- Boston Globe

"The author writes with wit, humor, imagination and a profound understanding of human nature - or just nature. . . The Two Towers is written by a person with a deep perception of the world of living things - what is, might be, or might have been."
- Hartford Times

Praises for The Return of the King
(Being the third part of The Lord of the Rings)

"There are very few works of genius in recent literature. This is one."
- The Nation

"A triumphant close. . . a grand piece of work, grand both in conception and execution. An astonishing imaginative tour de force."
- Daily Telegraph

"In the highest and most complimentary sense, this is escapist fiction at its finest, yet at the same time it has profound relevance to our troubled age."
- Arthur C. Clarke

ON DISRESPECTFUL, LAZY-TO-THINK STUDENTS

Mr. Kuah show his first sign of anger today... Or izzit anger? I can't identify his expression... I guess it's a mixture of disapproval, shock, n... disappointment? I dunno... He really looked weird... But one thing's for sure: He ain't happy... (duh...) Yet I kinda emphatize with him, since I was a teacher for a month b4... U do ur best to teach the students, yet they are unrespectful n some even completely ignores ur presence... Erm, guess I'm going too far ahead... Let's start from the beginning...

There's 2 guys in my econ class [I only remember one is Alex... Nvm, not worth remembering >=( ] who was present when Mr. Kuah took our attendance yesterday, but disappeared after that for the entire period... Since they dun even have bags or books or anything, they r like juz... puff!! Of course, Mr. Kuah noticed that, n erased their attendance. Then today, they came late to the class, n they actually dare to tell Mr. Kuah they have attended the class yesterday. Being a nice guy, Mr. Kuah gave them one more chance (Too lenient, in my opinion) without a stern warning... U'll expect the guys to at least felt embarassed n behave themselves by then, dun u? Guess wat? One of them juz walk to the seat in front of me (Ting Ting is absent today, dunno y) pull the chair all over to the other side, n sit beside his fren... It's not that he sit behind a desk, but beside one!!! Without asking permission from Mr. Kuah n watsoever!!! Mr. Kuah really looked shocked then!!! Mr Kuah told him to sit at the seat in front of me, but not there beside his fren... N he's like trying to convince Mr. Kuah to let him sit there!! I'm disgusted... They behave juz like my primary skool students then!!! It was then that Mr Kuah talks in a very different manner then wat he usually did...

I'm also very unhappy on the lack of respect to teachers when the teacher is juz right in front of them. Ok, it's natural to dislike some of your teachers, n complaining about teachers is also very normal, but can't we at least respect them (albeit grudgingly) when we're in class? They r our elders, n no matter wat lousy teachers they r n how much u dislike them, they deserved some respect!! I'm not talking about a few "unique" students who show signs of disrespect, but the MAJORITY. One example is on going to the toilet while the class is commencing. I've seen countless students walking out of class juz like that, even when the teacher is still teaching!!! HELLO!!! Dun we learned all these manners since primary school? Can't we at least ask the teacher's permission 1st? "Sir, may I go to the toilet, pls?" Juz 8 simple words? Or izzit juz me that think that we should ask permission 1st b4 we leave the class? Juz waltzing out of the class is a very disrespectful gesture to me!!!

And next, the attitude of certain students... When I was teaching, I really dislike the students' habit of asking me to tell them the answers word by word juz after I explained to them... I discussed with the students about the question, n explained everything they need to know to write down the answers for themselves. But everytime (or at least almost...) I finished my explanation, the 1st thing many of the students will ask is:"So wat's the answer?" I really hate it when that happens... The students are spoonfeed for so long that they cannot, no would not use their brain to think n write down the answer using their own words!!! And while I'm explaining, many of them also aren't paying attention to me... It's only when I'm going to the next question that they started to "panic" n asked that stooopid question...

Still, I can still forgive them for behaving that way, since that they're still primary skool students... But today I've made a shocking discovery... Some college students behaved juz exactly like that!!! Mr. Kuah discussed the questions in much details, n even drawn graphs n figures to explain to us. And when he finished, a girl juz asked, "So wat's the answer?" Sigh... There's little hope for students like her to excel if they dun start to think more n be rely less on the teacher's answers!!! Are we really spoonfed for that long till we have lost the ability to write down the answers in our own words? Sigh... <=(

STUDYING ECONOMICS IS INFLUENCING MY BEHAVIOUR

This week, I've been reading my Econs n Physics notes while I'm waiting for the bus to arrived and while I'm in the bus... Last time, I only did that when there's an exam coming soon... So wat motivates me to do so, I wonder? I suspect that I'm already applying unconciously the knowledge I've learned from Econs to my behaviour... =S When economist make a decision, they did not only think of wat they wil profit from the choice they made, but also the loss of the choice they have to leave unsatisfied due to insufficient resourses to do both choices. Perhaps unconciously, the idea of wasting 30 minutes doing nothing every weekdays is an awful waste to me... Come to think of it, that 30 minutes are really well spent on revision rather than juz standing there doing nothing (I still can't get a seat after I entered the bus everyday due to "overload"). I've been applying quite a number of knowledge I've learned in CPU to my life and behaviour, which is very interesting since none of the knowledge I've learnt for the past 11 years has been applied in my life b4... CPU really is a great course!!! Kinda sad that this will be my last semester... Hopefully uni could be as good as this!!! >=)

SOME RoTK PICS (SPOILERS!!!)

Got nothing to blog 2day... So I'll juz post sum pictures of the coming blockbuster fantasy epic, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King!!! But be warned!!! It's full of SPOILERS!!!

Gandalf the white in a rich, white robe... Dun Gandalf looked lordly n wise in it? Juz wondering where is he exactly? Gondor? The Grey Havens?

Arwen Undomiel on horseback... to??

Denethor, The Steward of Gondor, father of Boromir and Faramir, who rules over Minas Tirith in the absence of the true king. For many generations Gondor has been ruled by the stewards ever since the disappearence of Earnur, the supposed last king of Gondor... that is, until the coming of Aragorn. Guess Denethor wouldn't be happy with Aragorn's return to Gondor... Thus the title, The Return of the King.

Eowyn's parting with Aragorn at Meduseld... Unrequited love... Sigh... "A frost that had turned its sap to ice, and so it stood, bittersweet, fair to see, but stricken, soon to fall and die..."

Eomer, brother of Eowyn, Third Marshall of the Riddermark. Luv the details on the helmet!! Espeacially the horse head across his nose!!

Sam in Shelob's Lair, holding the phial containing the light of Earendil's star... Remember Galadriel's gift to Frodo in The Fellowship of the Ring?

That's all... There's still a lot more that I can post here, but I dowan to spoil the movie!!! Oooo I juz can't wait for the 3rd installment!!!

WET PANTS AND SHOES

My my... It keeps raining these few days... I have a lunch with Nur and his friend, Eric, who is currently studying for the semester earlier. Juz b4 we finished out food, it began to rain heavily... Luckily, I've brought along an umbrella. [Be prepared! >=) ] But the problem is, the umbrella is only big enough for one ppl do be completely shield from the falling rain, and there's 3 of us... Being the nice guy, I "volunteered" to walk with one of them back to college with the umbrella 1st, then come back for another... Little do I know how much trouble that will caused me...

My first "trip" was with Eric... By the time I reached the shophouses opposite the college, my bag was soaked, and my clothes were slightly wet... The umbrella is juz too small... After I left my bag there, I went back for Nur... On the way back to college, Nur kept pulling the umbrella towards himself, n since I'm walking on the left, my clothes on the left side was completely soaked... I accidentally stepped into a small "pool" too, causing my shoes and socks to be completely soaked too... Shucks... We shouldn't have left college earlier, n should've our lunch at the cafeteria instead...

The cafeteria was fully packed by the time we reached there, so there was only 1 more place to go, the library... Feeling very uncomfortable bcos of my wet socks n shoes, I took both of them off!!! I even put the socks on the table in hope that it will dry faster... <=/ An unpleasent sight, I know, but only Nur n Eric knew about it, since the table is covered at both sides n none could really seen it... =P But they juz can't dried up in time... So wet feet for the whole day at college... Really really uncomfortable... Guess I learned my lessons... nv leave the college compound if it looks like it's gonna rain... NEVER EVER!! Hopefully my shoes dun stink tomolo...

Juz watched AXN's Fear Factor juz now... There's one round that was really really disgusting... The host brought the players to a table with a piece of cloth covering unknown things underneath it... At 1st, I thought that it was juz all kinds of disgusting food that the players was forced to eat, such as deer's testicles, cow brain etc... But when the host took off the cloth, the players' facial expression instantly changed to disgust... It was a HUGE pile of DEAD RATS!!! Around 40-50 dead rodents... N guess wat r they supposed to do with those? They were to pick the dead rats WITH THEIR MOUTH ONLY, run towards the bucket, n "spit" the rats into them... That was SO SO DISGUSTING!!! N I juz have my dinner then... Almost throw up watching them holding the dead rats in their mouth!!! AXN should arranged the time slot to 9 or 10 pm to prevent ppl who juz have their meal to feel sick!!! Or at least a warning b4 the show!!! Eeewww I dowan to talk about it now... My stomach is twisting again... <=@

STEALING BANDWIDTH

Heard of the above term b4? Kenny told me about it... Seems ike I can't juz connect the music from other sites to my blog, n that it's illegal... Dang... Then I really need to find another way to get this right... I feel stooopid... So there goes my hope of having midi playing when someone visited my blog... Sigh... Maybe I'll try other sites... Juz maybe...

Watched the 3rd episode of Taken juz now... Nothing much seems to happened in the 1 n a half hour... And the Keys are so DEAD boring... Too little plot advancement on the Clarkes, too many boring plot advancement for the Crawfords... Colonel Owen Crawford is juz TOO evil to make me hate him... So evil that he's unreal, and I can't help but can't hate him bcos he's too... fictional... It's a letdown... But I'll still stick to the series... I have faith on the great director Steven Spielberg... Juz hopefully the plot pace will go faster in future episodes!!!

Juz fixed a background music to my blog... Rondo alla turca (Turkish March) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart... One of my favourite tune, but I hope to add more midi to the list, but things doesn't seem to work out... Any of u guys know hot to "fix" this? Also, do u guys find the bg music annoying instead? Or perhaps u have any better suggestions? Pls tag on tag-board to let me know... Thx!!! Looking forward for the feedback!!!
NEW HAIRSTYLE!!!

Juz came back from the saloon and lunch... with a new hairstyle!!! Finally, after been teased by my frens on my "long" hair, finally, I can get rid of all the teasing!!! I definitely luv it!!! But my sis is not so... enthusiastic... Oh nvm, she dun like it!!! But then again, a lot of my frens dun like my last hairstyle in the beginning either, but once they get used to it, they say I look better compared to the old hairstyle!!! So how do I describe it? Erm... short, spiky, comfy!!! Can't get the picture?! Just wait till Monday and see it for urself at college la!!! >=) I LOVE IT!!!

What Sign of Affection Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Awww... How romantic... ;)
SENDING OFF JOANNE AND WATCHED RED DRAGON

Woke up early this morning... Around 7.15am. Joanne is leaving for Perth today, and sadly her parents can't go with her as planned. By 7.50am, the twins, Chung Ee (the pronunciation is very very similar to my Chinese name!!! In fact, identical!!) and Chung Meng fetch me up, together with Chin Seng. It's only after I get in the car that I know Joanne's flight is on 9.40am, and she has to leave the departure hall at 8.40am!!! Whoa, the driver, Chung Ee, drive so fast that he almost reached 180km/h at one time!!! I'm not worried bout my safety then (if it's my time to die, then die la!! Me no afraid of death!! >=) , but I'm very uncomfortable of the feeling u have when u're in a speeding car... U know, a pulled back feeling? Inertia? We reached KLIA airport in 30 minutes... Can u believe that?! Normally, it'll take 45 minutes to 1 hour!!! It's the travel time to college from my place, but double the distance!!!

The airport is strangely, very crowded today... About 20 of us are there to send Joanne off... (I hope I used to right phrase here... send off...) We take loads of pictures there... And when it's time for Joanne to leave, we keep following her on the top floor even after she has went to the lower floor... We keep on following until we can't see anymore of her... No one got sentimental then... Perhaps it's bcos she'll be back for awhile in 5 months time... One of us even exclaimed, "Why so fast?!" >=)

Then we returned back to Klang and have our breakfast at the famous Teluk Pulai Bah Kut Teh at Taman Rashna... I haven't been there for a long long time... When I'm small, my family always came here for breakfast during Sundays, until the restaurant became too famous and FAR too crowded... It's incredibly rare that u'll find a vacant table when u juz arrived... We even gave up last time after waiting for 10 minutes... But today is our lucky day!!! We manage to get 2 tables once we arrived, and one more a short while later... The Bah Kut Teh is still good, but I can't help but think that it's not as good as the good old days... Sigh... Nevertheless, it's a good meal!!!

When I've returned home, I dig for my old VCDs, and found one that I've bought a long time ago but have yet to watch... Red Dragon... It's the prequel to The Silence of The Lambs, and starring the infamous Dr. Hannibal Lecter... This got to be the most exciting and chilling of the Hannibal "Trilogy" (Red Dragon, The Silence of The Lambs, Hannibal). I'm almost can't breathe at the last 5 minutes, and I actually clasped my mouth at the climax!!! Whoa, it's been a long time since a movie really makes me so excited!!! But those who watched this juz to see Lecter will be disappointed, for he's juz the "side show" in this movie... The murders are chilling, and the plot is very exciting, but the characters failed to gain my interest/ sympathy etc. I dun really care about the lead characters, and I still dun really understand the killer's motive after I finished watching it... Guess I got to read the book to really know about it... Nevertheless, it's a pretty good movie, though not as good as The Silence of the Lambs when it comes to characters, but better than the disappointing and gross Hannibal.
CAPTAIN BALL ROCKS!!!

Went to my church juz now, and played Captain Ball with my CG members... Wat the heck is Captain Ball? Well, it's a combination of basketball, netball and soccer... Huh?! Let me try to explain...

The Captain Ball court is somewhat similar to a basketball court. But instead of a pole of with basket nets and both ends of the court, there are two tables. In front of the two tables are "goalkeepers", whose functions are very similar to goalkeepers of soccer... What's the goal then, u might ask... Well, the goals are not made of any materials, but humans!!! One player of each team will stand on the table of their respective team, and the opponent's goalkeeper will be rite in front of him... To win, one has to throw the ball to their respective "goal" and the "goal" must catch the ball without jumping from the table. The "goalkeepers" will try to stop the "goal" from getting the ball...Other than that, the game plays very much like basketball, except that once u get the ball, the netball rules are applied instead... U cannot bounce with the ball while u run, but u are allowed to take 2 steps, then u must throw the ball...

Pretty simple, eh? Heehee... confused? Anyway, this really rocks!!! Well, I really enjoyed myself then!!! I always thought that a nerd like me will probably sux in any ball games, but I play quite well then!! Heehee, maybe I can't say well, but passable la!!! At least I get to touch the ball a few times, and even scored a "goal"!!! Hahaha... finally get a chance to play a ball game without feeling arkward!!! I hurt my left little finger, fell down after crahing on someone, and my whole body felt like burning with heat!!! I'm also very stoopid to wear a long pants... My legs felt so so HOT!!! I'm also very sweaty and stinky now... Gotta take a bath now... So I'll juz end here!!! >=)
REFLECTION ON THE 1ST WEEK OF 2ND SEMESTER

The first week of the second semester has came and gone... Overall, I'm quite contend with everything... All the teachers are good, but whether are the great or not, I cannot tell... Though I doubt they can be as good as Miss Cheryl Swanson... Sigh... Miss her... =P Well, Mr. Kuah is OK, juz a bit gila gila... But that makes the atmosphere more relaxed, I guess... Mr. Gillick is good, but his tone is juz a bit too flat... And Mrs Joanne Lim... Well, she's very very enthusiastic about her baby... When she's not teaching, she'll keep on talking about her baby and how cute she is and how she sleeps, cries, observe her surrounding etc... It's not really bad, but she also has this habit of humming a tune when we are copying our notes... I dunno about others, but that scares me a bit... <=/

And since it's the 1st week, all we learned were nothing but BASICS, BASICS, and BASICS... Econs and Physics are still not that bad, since I've nv learned Econs b4, and I do need a revision on Physics, but the revision of Bio really annoys me... It's like this... For the revision of Bio, I've already learned all that she was teaching bcos I took Chem last semester... Worse, it's from the last chapter of Chem!!! But I could still tolerate that, since a lot of students haven't studied Chem last semester or taking it this sem... But the problem is, when I'm "learning" for the week are all "dumbed down" and simplified version of wat I've learned in Chem!!! Wors, she go through all those stuff REAL slow... whoa... Cannot tahan la... <=( Hopefully next week will be better!!!

A COUPLE OF CHILLING URBAN LEGENDS

Found this two scary urban legends on the net... I'll share with you guys here! I've modified some of the minor details, and the variants too, to make these tales easier to remember... Heehee... >=)

Aren't You Glad You Didn't Turn On The Light?

Two girls are roommates in the college dorms. One girl leaves to go to her friend's apartment at night. Some time passes and she decided to stay overnight at her friend's place. But first she has to go back to her room to retrieve a few of her stuffs. Her room was dark when she entered. Thinking that her roommates was sleeping, she does not turn the light on. She just fumbled for her stuffs in the dark, and left the room after she got them. When she finally returns to the room the next morning, there are police outside her door. They asked if she lived there and she said yes. They took her into her room, and there, written in blood on the wall, were the words, "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?" Her roommate was being murdered while she was getting her stuffs!!! The girl barely escapes murder herself and the only reason she lives is because she did not turn on the lights!!!

And here's a close variant to the tale...

Humans Can Lick Too

Once there was a a young girl who lived in a small town just south of Farmersburg. Her parents had to go to town for a while, so they left their daughter home alone, but protected by her dog, which was a very large collie. And at about 8:00pm the parents went to town. A few hours later, she decided to go to sleep for the night. Settling down to sleep at about 12:00 she snuggled up with the dog and fell asleep.

But at one point, she suddenly woke up. She turned and looked at the clock...it was 2:30. She snuggled down again wondering what had woken her.....when she heard a noise. It was a dripping sound. She thought that she had left the water running, and now it was dripping into the drain of her sink. So thinking it was no big deal she decided to go back to sleep.

But she felt nervous so she reached her hand over the edge of her bed, and let the dog lick her hand for reasurance that he would protect her. Again at about 3:45 she woke up hearing drippping. She was slightly annoyed now but went back to sleep anyway. Again she reached down and let the dog lick her hand. Then she fell back to sleep.

At 6:52 the girl decided that she had had enough...she got up just in time to see her parents were pulling up to the house. "Good,"she thought. "Now somebody can fix the sink...'cause I know I didn't leave it running." She walked to the bathroom and there was the collie dog, skinned and hung up on the curtain rod. The noise she heard was its blood dripping into a puddle on the floor. The girl screamed and ran to her bedroom to get a weapon, in case someone was still in the house.....and there on the floor, next to her bed she saw a small note, written in blood, saying: HUMANS CAN LICK TOO.

Scary, eh? Are you shivering now? Heehee... >=) Of course, no ones know for sure now whether are these tales true or false... It's up to you to decide!!!

SUPER RAINY DAY!!!

Woke up by the sound of the falling rain this morning... Uh oh... Seems to be a very heavy rain!! At once, I woke my bro up, bcos I know it will take sum time to drive him into the school compound due to the heavy rain... By the time I'm leaving my house, water are already "invading" the front yard of my house... Forced to walk into my car barefoot, and this is the 1st time I drive without my shoes on too!!! Once we pass by the school gate, there's loads of water rushing down from the stairs!!! Kinda like a mini waterfall...

Since that it's raining heavily, I make a wise choice to wait at the shophouses area instead of waiting under the tree in another area as I did usually... The bus dun arrived till 7.50 am!!! Whoa... Luckily I'm free for the 1st period... Should have follow Curian's suggestion to have a breakfast at the coffeeshop while waiting for the bus... The bus is about 35 minutes behind schedule!!! On the way to college, I found out that it's not only in Klang that rain heavily, thx to Mix FM's Ford Road Ranger... Reached college at around 8.30 am... Talk about late!!!

My bag is unexceptionally heavy today too... Earlier, a fren of Azzedin wanna borrow my Chemistry textbook, so I brought it to college, only to find out he dun need it anymore since he have dropped that subject!!! >=( And then I also bought my econs n got my physics book today (RM 80 is juz too expensive... Gotta make a better deal tomolo!!!) I also brought along my bio textbook... So altogether there's 4 thick hardcover textbooks!!! I'm worried that my bag would actually snapped!!! Luckily that didn't happen!!! Then again, I dun have to bring all the books to college everyday, since not all the teachers will be using it everyday!!

Sum students have weird nicknames or names they want to be called... One is Einstein, in my physics class... Well, not really weird, but... Einstein?! Very impressive name, I must say, but wat if he could not live up to expectation?! U know wat I mean... >=) Then there's a girl in my bio class who wanna be known as Mad... Now that's super weird... Mrs. Joanne, the bio teacher, jokes,"Are you Mad?" Hahaha... Double meaning!!! And Mrs Joanne told us jokes b4 the class started... She found those jokes cute n funny, but I doubt many of us really get the jokes, or think they're funny... I only laughed bcos she really look ridiculous when she told the jokes n laughed by herself when no one were laughing!!! But I think all these "Icebreakers" are taking far too much time... Hopefully she dun spend too much time on those in the future... Better still if she dun do it!!! >=)

RUMORS ON ORLANDO BLOOM PLAYING SUPERMAN!!

There has been rumor that Orlando Bloom (The good looking elf archer in The Lord of the Rings movie) may stars as Superman... I dunno about u guys, but I really laugh like mad when I first heard of the rumor... Can u imagine Orlando Bloom donning the Superman suit? Here's a small portrait of how Orlando Bloom would look like as Superman...

Hahahahahahahahaha... He look so... sheep-ish!!! Hahahahahahaha... =D
Eowyn and The Nazgul

This is one of my favourite paintings by John Howe on Middle Earth... I espeacially like the contrast of the painting, Eowyn white garment and golden belt against the black beast and witch king... The colours are used very effectively!! The way the beast is falling is also very nicely drawn too!!! John Howe mentioned that he'll like to see a sculpture of this painting produced, but the beast falling position is a real challenge!!!
FIRST DAY OF CLASS

My first class at period 2 dun start till 10.30 am, but I've already arrived at college by 7.45 am!!! After I kill my time reading LoTR n surfing the net in the library, I finally entered my first class- Economics. Well, since none of the teachers have started to teach yet, I can't really make a judgement on whether is he a good teacher. Mr Kuah is very... erm... breezy, so the atmosphere of the class is very relaxed... That's a good start!! Let's hope that he's a good teacher then!! Next, after break, I have Physics class... Mr. Robert Gillick, my Physics teacher, talks in a very... flat and dull tone, and he have a thick Canadian accent... I have a little problem understanding wat is he talking about... Hopefully I'll get used to it soon!! Then it's Biology, and the teacher is Mrs Joanne Lim... Imagine my surprise when I found out that she's not a Chinese, but a Caucasian!! I was like... Huh?! She's my bio teacher, Mrs Joanne Lim? A Canadian?! Later we found out that she changed her surname to Lim after she is married to a local Chinese guy!! She also mentioned that she is at Malaysia for 12 years already!! She talks funny, like a bird chirping... Very fast and timid... We're having all sorts of weird activities in that period, like playing Bingo (not the Bingo u think, it's like a paper with 25 squares, n in each squares there are different statements like "has a pet cat" and "cannot resist chocolates", and u need to get the names of any classmates that have those description. When u get five in a row, u win!!), doing name cards for one another so that she could remember our names, and exchange telephone numbers so that we can contact one another if we need help... After my last class, it's already 2.30pm... shucks!!! Not only today, but my classes will finished at 2.30 pm everyday!!! My bus leaves at 2pm!!! So I have to wait for the 4pm bus!!! Argh... Guess I have no other choice... >=( Well, can't wait for lessons to begin tomorrow!!!

Geeks
Nerd
Gee whiz, tell Mommy to stop babying you so much
and get out of the house once in a while. You
are the typical nerd. Congragulations, the
other kids walk all over you and make fun of
you, but you'll show them someday when you
develop the latest line of anti-depressants
that they will need when they are 35.

WATCHED TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES

First I'll continue where I left off juz now. The 1st semester CPU students have a library tour juz now, but I'm kinda disappointed... No pretty girls... Sigh... But I still have hope!! Heehee... juz now juz a brief glance only ma... Tomorrow I'll observe more lo... >=)

Around 10.15am, Jayne, Sebastian n me started went to Lecture Theatre 3 to get our schedule... Met a few frens there... Sum with new looks, but mostly stay the same... Jayne keep calling my hair mushroom, but frankly I dun really get it... Y mushroom?! Guess LoTR is getting into her head after she started reading it... Hobbits luv mushrooms...

I can't help but feeling a bit disappointed when I got the schedule... Classes starting at period 2? Then wat am I supposed to do at the first 1 n a half hour after I arrived at college?? And Physics class followed by Biology class?? Wow... Dunno if I can stand such "heavy dose" of infomation without resting or going through other "lighter" subjects... Perhaps I'll appeal for changes... Time will tell... I'm also kinda disappointed that I dun get Mr. Razal as my Econs teacher, but Mr. Kuah instead... Well, hope he's good!!

Then I joined Jayne and her frens, Abbas and Kenny, to watch Terminator 3 at Sunway Pyramid. We catch the 11.40 am show, which surprisingly only cost RM 7 per person. Well, the movie is not bad, but definitely not a classic like T2 (I can't really remember T1... I watched it once when I was juz a boy... But the critics luv it!!). It lacks emotional depth, and not much ideas are explored here... The terminators, T-X and T-101, no longer felt threatening... They're kinda like... Road Runner and Wild E. Coyote... (Think beep beep!!!) I can't felt the tension when the two terminators started bashing at each other with toilet bowls (U heard that right!!)... Juz a bunch of indestructible machines destroying everything around them...

I luv T2 not only bcos of the action scene, but also the emotional depth... I espeacially like the father-son bond between John Connor and T-101... As Sarah Conner described, T-101 is the perfect father to John... And when he sacrificed himself in the end, I must say that I'm touched... But as for T3, as the terminators get terminated, I can't help but thinking, "Good riddance!!" Strangely, the stars of Teminator 3 ain't the terminators, but John Connor and Kate Brewster, a vet who happens to be the daughter of a general in charge of Skynet. At the second half of the movie, I'm more interested in whether or not the 2 of them managed to stop Judgement Day rather then watching two mindless robot bashing each other without a sense of art... If u disagree with me, juz watched T2 again... Every time the T-1000 (The liquid metal guy) starts chasing the good guys, u can't help but feel tense and thinking how the heck are they going to escape from that dude?!

Nonetheless, T3 is better than I expected... Old Arny dun look like 50+ years old at all, and T3 must be the funniest among the three Terminator movies. The action scenes will easily satisfy those who watched the show juz to enjoy the action... Terrific action scenes!!! Unfortunately, that's wat the whole movie about... An action movie in a sci-fi "skin"... I was hoping for more ideas, more thought-provoking themes... Sad sad... But still not a bad movie... If action is all u want, I heartilly recommend it... But dun go watching it if u want some serious stuff... There are speculation that a sequel is unevitable (Juz as Judgement Day is unevitable.. hehe), but pesonally I dun think so, since the future has already begun!!! Unless they wanna show us the war between Man and Machine... Then they'll have to change the title... Terminator 4: Attack of the Cyborgs or The Human Resistance Strikes Back or sumthing!! >=) One last funny thing... The movie is rated "U" here, but it's rated "R" in the US!! Indeed, they did do some censoring, but still, I think it deserves a 18... Is the Censorship Board weird or what?!

After returning from Sunway Pyramid, Jayne left her file in the taxi... Aiyo, I think she must not go to Sunway Pyramid la... Last time, she lost her handphone there... Now, she left her file after returning from there... Talk about bad luck!! Or izzit juz that she never learn? Hahaha... Jayne, if u're reading this (sure u will!! ;D ), dun be mad!! Just kidding!! Anyway, she got her file back at the end... She returned to Sunway Pyramid!!! Wow... burning money la... That's RM 18 she has spent on these taxi trips!!! She gonna be "bankrupt" soon!! >=)

WHO SAID ONE CAN'T LOG IN TO BLOGGER.COM IN COLLEGE?!

Earlier, Jayne has claimed that we couldn't log in to blogger.com at college, due to.. shall we say, censhorship. But here I am now, typing this very entry, in the college library!! Oh Jayne, next time be sure of ur facts first b4 u go on telling others!!!

Whoa... The connection speed here is really fast... Or izzit the connection speed of my dad's notebook slow? I suspect it's the latter... Anyway, it's only 8.50am now... I have another 1 hour and 40 minutes to kill... I wonder wat should I do? I've bring along The Lord of the Rings and The Unfinished Tale of Numenor and Middle Earth, but how long can reading those books last? Certainly not more than an hour... Gotta find sumthing to do now...
FINALLY GET THEIR NAMES!!!

Juz watched the 2nd episode of Taken, Jacob and Jesse (or izzit the other way round??) I like this episode more than the 1st... i finally able to catch the names of the characters... Basically there are 3 families, the Keys, the Crawfords, and the Clarkes. The Clarkes are the most interesting among the 3... I espeacially Jacob "Half-alien" (Heehee, get it? Elrond Half-elven, Jacob Half-alien!! =D ), the alien/human hybrid kid... He's juz so mysterious and scary with his unusual psychic powers... His mum, Sally Clarke, easily got my sympathy (but i juz dun understand wat kind of woman will go on and on sleeping with different men... Yucky...). The Crawfords are not bad, Major Owen Crawford is one interesting "villain", and I do pity his poor estranged wife... But I juz can't relate to the Keys... Not enough explanation on them... Russell and Jesse are juz so boring... Hopefully I'll understand more on them in the coming episodes!! Gotta sleep soon... tomorrow is a new beginning!!! =)
LOUSY LAST DAY OF HOLIDAY

I thought the last day of holidays is supposed to be thrilling and fun... Duh, today is DEAD boring... How can I ever miss holidays?! Weird... So... tomorrow is a new beginning!!! Haven't get all my textbooks yet... Must get them soon... Since classes aren't really started until Tuesday, guess we could watch a movie after we get our schedule... Well, can't be too hopeful... The more hopeful u are, the more disappointment you may have to suffer... Well, pray for the best for the beginning of 2nd semester!!! Gotta "pack" my stuff now...

Hmmm.. still haven't post this one yet... I've finished typing the above paragraph bout more than an hoyr ago... Dun have the chance to online... Juz watched my first episode of CSI... Ok ok, I'm very outdated... Blame it on the time slots... Not my time... Heehee... Not bad, but not really good either... I wonder y is the series so popular... Gotta run now... Taken is about start!!!

BEST NEWS I HAVE FOR QUITE SOME TIME!!!

I've juz received one of the best news I've have for a long time!! Do u guys know that u could actually rent books at MPH Subang Parade? No kidding!!! Juz go to the Reader's Corner (or sumthing like that... can't remember exactly) and ask for it!!! I heard it from a friend of mine... U have to first pay the actual price of the book, but after u return it, u could get most of ur money back!!! I'm still not sure how much the "rental fee" is, but my fren said should be around RM 7... Quite cheap, considering that paperback books normally cost RM 32.90 nowadays... Yea!!! If this is all true, I no longer need to spend so much $$$ on books!!! And I'm going to hang out at MPH Subang Parade really often!!!

Now the not-so-good news... Sigh... Since last week, me n my colleague (temporal teacher at SJK (C) Kong Hoe) decided to watch Terminator 3: Rise of the Machine today... Ok, since it's already past midnight, yesterday... But this morning, bcos no girls wanna go, everyone "throw aeroplanes"!!! (For those who dun understand Hokkien, this is equivalent to "breaking" an appointment) Brrr... So I ask my ex-secondary skool friends if they wanna join me tomorrow for the show... At first things are hopeful... but in the end only one could make it... but dowan to watch it without the gang... so... *puff*, there goes!!! Sigh... But there's still hope!!! Since there'll be no class on Monday, perhaps I could watch with my college friend!! U see the sequence now? First, primary skool colleagues... then ex-secondary skool frens... now college frens!!! Hopefully I'll be able to watch that movie by Monday!!! Heck, if not, I'll watch it by myself!!!

Eww... I'm sick for a few days adi... On Friday, I've fever, headache, flu, cough, n sore throat all in one!!! Today (Yesterday, that is... oledi past midnite!!) I felt better, but I still have a runny nose... Sticky yellow greenish mucus in the morning, dilute colourless mucus in the afternoon... Weird... Hope I'll feel better tomorrow!!

You represent... kindness.
You represent... kindness.
You're a very gentle, kind, and caring individual.
You truely care about people and are generally
well-liked. Though sometimes you may be
perceived as weak, you truely have a strong
heart and a good desire to help others.

What feeling do you represent?

SO IT FINALLY ENDS... OR IS THIS JUZ THE BEGINNING??

Today's the last day I'm teaching at SJK (C) Kong Hoe... Wa... Many students want me to write my personal details in their memo books... Last minute rush... I must have wrote in at least 15 books, without including 20+ others I've wrote earlier... They keep surounding me at my desk and asked me to remember to sign... Kinda felt like a star... Heehee... I've met the teacher that will replace me yesterday... Explained all the stuff he needs to know... Hopefully he can handle the kids better than I can!!!

As I tidied up my desk b4 I leave, I can;t help but feeling a bit sense of loss... And as I walked to my car, thinking that I may be leaving that school for good, I kinda felt a bit sentimental... I've drive here to teach for 23 days only, yet I'm already missing this place... if not the students!! Weird... I could almost swear about a month ago that I'll be glad after I quit my job and will never teach again... But now, I can't help but wonder... Will I return to teach again? By the end of the second semester, the students are probably having their holidays already... But perhaps... next year? Dunno... perhaps... perhaps... For now, I can't wait for next week!!! >=)
SILENCE OF THE LAMBS QUOTES

I was looking through a LONG LONG list of famous movie quotes, and I found out that all of my favourite quotes are from Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Agent Clarice Starling in Silence of the Lambs...

Scary cover, eh? Wait till u watched that show... In fact, it still gives me the chills whenever I think back on that movie... If u haven't watch it, feel free to borrow it from me!! I have the vcd... But the audio quality is really disapointing... So I'll share some of the great quotes in the movie below!! But before that, let me introduced a bit on the movie first...

Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins will likely be forever associated with their roles in this bone-chilling masterpiece, based on the novel by Thomas Harris and directed by Jonathan Demme. FBI trainee Clarice Starling (Foster) is sent by her supervisor (Scott Glenn) to interview ferociously intelligent serial killer Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter (Hopkins) at his cell in a Maryland mental hospital. The FBI hopes Lecter can provide insight into the mind of killer-at-large, Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine), whose current abductee happens to be the daughter of a senator. Intrigued by Clairice, Lecter demands information about her personal life and in exchange for clues, and the two begin to form a strangely intimate connection, with a girl's life hanging in the balance. Starling is gradually revealed as a woman struggling out of her own darkness, bound to aid the dysfunctional males around her on their own paths of transformation, liberation, and destruction. This is a film of brilliant and disturbing beauty that transcends its B-movie origins (though it does honor them with a cameo appearance by Roger Corman). Its enduring influence has led to a slew of similarly dark-toned serial killer films, and a sequel, HANNIBAL (2001).

THE QUOTES FROM THE MOVIE

Crawford: Believe me, you don't want Hannibal Lecter inside your head.

Dr. Frederick Chilton: I am going to show you why we insist on such precautions. On the afternoon of July 8th, 1981, he (Lecter) complained of chest pains and was taken to the dispensary. His mouthpiece and restraints were removed for an EKG. When the nurse leaned over him, he did this to her.
[pulls out photo]
Dr. Frederick Chilton: The doctors managed to reset her jaw more or less. Saved one of her eyes. His pulse never got above 85, even when he ate her tongue.

Dr. Lecter: Why do you think he removes their skins, Agent Starling?
[sarcastically] Enthrall me with your acumen.
Clarice Starling: It excites him. Most serial killers keep some sort of trophies from their victims.
Dr. Lecter: I didn't.
Clarice Starling: No. No, you ate yours.

Dr. Lecter: You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube. A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste. Good nutrition has given you some length of bone, but you're not more than one generation from poor white trash, are you, Agent Starling? And that accent you've tried so desperately to shed? Pure West Virginia. What's your father, dear? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of the lamp? You know how quickly the boys found you... all those tedious sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars...while you could only dream of getting out... getting anywhere... getting all the way to the FBI.
Clarice: You see a lot, Doctor.

Dr. Lecter: A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti. [A sucking sound, like wat u hear when someone suck up a single strand of noodle, is made by Lecter after that]

Murray: Is it true what they're sayin', he's (Lecter) some kinda vampire?
Clarice: They don't have a name for what he is.

Dr. Lecter: Good evening, Clarice.
Clarice: I brought you your drawings, Doctor. Just until you get your view.
Dr. Lecter: How very thoughtful. Or did Jack Crawford send you in for one last wheedle before you're both booted off the case?
Clarice: No, I came because I wanted to.
Dr. Lecter: [tut tut] People will say we're in love...

Dr. Lecter: First principles, Clarice. Read Marcus Aurelius. Of each particular thing ask: what is it in itself? What is its nature? What does he do, this man you seek?
Clarice: He kills women--
Dr. Lecter: No! That's incidental. What is the first and principal thing he does, what need does he serve by killing?
Clarice: Anger, social resentment, sexual frustration--
Dr. Lecter: No, he covets. That's his nature. And how do we begin to covet, Clarice? Do we seek out things to covet? Make an effort to answer.
Clarice: No. We just--
Dr. Lecter: No. Precisely. We begin by coveting what we see every day. Don't you feel eyes moving over your body, Clarice? I hardly see how you couldn't. And don't your eyes move over the things you want?

Dr. Lecter: After your father's murder, you were orphaned. You were ten years old. You went to live with cousins on a sheep and horse ranch in Montana. And...?
Clarice: And one morning, I just ran away.
Dr. Lecter: Not "just", Clarice. What set you off? You started at what time?
Clarice: Early, still dark.
Dr. Lecter: Then something woke you, didn't it? Was it a dream? What was it?
Clarice: I heard a strange noise.
Dr. Lecter: What was it?
Clarice: It was -- screaming. Some kind of screaming, like a child's voice.
Dr. Lecter: What did you do?
Clarice: I went downstairs, outside. I crept up into the barn. I was so scared to look inside, but I had to.
Dr. Lecter: And what did you see, Clarice? What did you see?
Clarice: Lambs. The lambs were screaming.
Dr. Lecter: They were slaughtering the spring lambs?
Clarice: And they were screaming.
Dr. Lecter: And you ran away?
Clarice: No. First I tried to free them. I -- I opened the gate to their pen, but they wouldn't run. They just stood there, confused. They wouldn't run.
Dr. Lecter: But you could and you did, didn't you?
Clarice: Yes. I took one lamb, and I ran away as fast as I could.
Dr. Lecter: Where were you going, Clarice?
Clarice: I don't know. I didn't have any food, any water and it was very cold, very cold. I thought, I thought if I could save just one, but -- he was so heavy. So heavy. I didn't get more than a few miles when the sheriff's car picked me up. The rancher was so angry he sent me to live at the Lutheran orphanage in Bozeman. I never saw the ranch again.
Dr. Lecter: What became of your lamb, Clarice?
Clarice: They killed him.

Dr. Lecter: Ready when you are Sgt. Pembry. [Lecter picks up a small knife, then proceed to the near-unconcious Sgt. Pembry to enjoy his... meal... while a classical music is played at the background...]

Dr. Lecter: I have no plans to call on you Clarice. The world's more interesting with you in it. So you take care now to extend me the same courtesy.
Clarice: You know I can't make that promise.
Dr. Lecter: I do wish we could chat longer, but I'm having an old friend for dinner. Bye. [Lecter hung the phone, then start stalking his "prey"... If u dun get it, think "having an old friend for dinner" as "having a lamb chop for dinner"...]

Brrr... r u shivering now?? It's worth a watch... Dr. Hannibal Lecter is so so disturbing... One of the scariest movie I've ever seen... So... interested in borrowing, anyone?? >=)

GUILTY...

I caned the wrong student today... Oops... A bunch of students were spraying water at the back of the class... That makes me really mad, bcos I have warned them many times not to do so... So I juz rushed there n hit one of the students... Only to find out that he had nothing to do with them at all, other than sitting close to them!!

Of course I feel guilty at once... But I have to go on with the class 1st!! So after I finished teaching, I approached the then crying student (I caned his arm quite forcefully). After I questioned the "witnesses" n know that he really is innocent, I apologize to him... Guess wat's his reaction? He swears!! In Hokkien!! (In my opinion, Hokkien has the foulest swearing words...) That makes me really mad... But I dowan to scold him any further, since I shouldn't start this whole mess... But he keeps on *%$#@+!! Such an uncouth tongue at the age of 11!!!

Minutes b4 the end of school bell rang (It's the last period), that boy juz push his table down n stomp out of the class swearing all those foul things... I'm totally disgusted!!! But I can't help but feeling guilty too... But now that I've apologized, I guess I dun need to feel like that anymore... He actually swears at me in front of the whole class!! Maybe I'll pay him a visit in his class tomolo... b4 the class starts... For better or worse...
FINALLY GOT MY SIJIL TAMAT PERSEKOLAHAN RENDAH!!!

Haha... I finally got my sijil tamat persekolahan rendah!!! Well, not the ORIGINAL copy... I've lost that one!!! It's quite some time ago actually... I'm always worried that I may need it in the future... I still remembered wat my primary skool assistant headmistress (Still the same person now!!) told us about a girl at Singapore can't get married bcos she lost her primary skool cert!!! Haha... So I'm quite uneasy about it for the past few years...

Last week, I've finally mustered sufficient courage to ask the co-curriculum principal whether I could get another copy of the cert... She then told me to ask the first assistant headmaster, but he wasn't present then bcos of a meeting... On this Monday, I asked him about it... And guess what? He told me to asked the headmaster!! N he's not in his office then!! So on Tuesday, I asked the headmaster... and he in turn told me to asked the second assistant headmistress, but she wasn't there cos of a meeting too!!! Duh...

So today, I finally get to ask the right person for the task... She searched the archives for the details, and give me a book for me to search for my details... As I flipped through the book full of names of my classmates during my Standard 6 years, I can't help but feeling a bit sentimental about their names... The names do ring a bell... But I can't remember many of their faces anymore... Sigh... Lost childhood... Anyway, I've finally got the cert... So no more worries on unable to marry in Singapore in the future!! >=)

Brrrr... Lousy faulty connection!!! The connection speed of my notebook is only connected at 28,800 bps!!! It's like half of wat it should be!!! So damn slow!!! Summore so hard to connect!!! Stooopid... I need the new notebook dad promised me soon!!! DDDDDAAAADDDDD...!!!

SCRABBLE COMPLETE... EXPERIENCE SCRABBLE AS NEVER BEFORE!!

I've bought this Scrabble Complete computer game together with Civilization III and Civilization III expansion: Play the World about 1 week or 2 ago... I've tried it juz a few days ago... And I'm slowly becoming a scrabble addict!!! Never have I enjoyed Scrabble so so much!!! The AI are juz amazing!!! I've learn a lot of new vocabs and tactics in such short time!! Wow... Only now do I know that even the reprensentative from our school who joined the Scrabble competition last year are amateurish compared to the AI of the game!!

Moreover, if u are in doubt of the meaning of any word that is played by the computer player, u could easily find the defination by clicking on the dictionary button!! Need hints? There's a step by step hint for u to score as much as u can every turn!! Need suggestions? Vowel or consonant dump? Need to get rid of your Q, J, X, or Z fast? All of those can be done by clicking on the buttons!! It's so easy n convenient!!!

Furthermore, everytime u played, ur winnings, ratings, best games, highest score etc are recorded... U can actually see how u've improved!!! There's even a mini-Scrabble games menu, where u could review ur earlier games, practise BINGO (Play all seven tiles on ur rack), and etc!! There's so much cool features in this game!!! This is definitely a must-have not only for Scrabble professionals, but also those who have juz begin to learn how to play it!!!
ON TODAY'E EPISODE OF AYASHI NO CERES

Wow... Today's episode of Ayashi No Ceres (Episode 7) really makes me feel overloaded!! After a relatively slow pacing for the earlier episodes, this one felt too too rushed!! It can easily fitted into 3 episodes instead!! All of a sudden, "C Genomer" (or sumthing like that.. I forgot.. <=) is introduced.. There are many other ppl who carries the "celestial maiden" gene since they are Ceres' descendent, Ayashi going to a new skool, meet another girl who have the power to control fire, and found out she's dating her new skool teacher, then told by the girl not to tell out the secret, yet the teacher lied that she have told adi, then she grew mad and blew up the whole skool, n the teacher is actually an agent of Kagami, then the girl burn herself n the teacher to death... Imagined all of those info in a single episodes of 30 minutes.. A new character introduced, n burned to death in the same episode... Wat the..?! Hopefully this problem doesn't carry out throughout the series!!

I'm also very unhappy about the anime categorized as 'U', in other words, for all viewers.. The girl who can control fire n the teacher actually have sexual intercourse in the skool toilet!!! Imagined that in an animation series!!! Of course, u see nothing, but u CAN hear SUMTHING... If u dun get me, then nvm... Better not to know... Think about the kids who were watching this anime!!! Lousy inefficient censor board!!! They banned Daredevil while they should have labeled it as a 18 PG movie, but ignore this disgusting part when they should have censored it!! Worst of all, it's categorized as 'U'!!! >=O Also, y can't the Japanese animators left out these unnecessary parts?! Argh... I feel sick!!

ONE MORE WEEK TILL CLASSES BEGIN...
ONE MORE WEEK BEFORE I QUIT MY JOB!!!

Yeehaa!!! One more week before the second semester begins!!! AAHH!!! I can hardly wait!!! But more importantly, one more week before I quit my job as a teacher!!! TRIPLE YEEHAA!!! No more noisy and annoying students, no more rushing to finish the memo book the students have constantly want me to write (I actually got a stack of all those books!! U know, the one with names, d.o.b., hobbies, ambition, and other personal details kind stuff), and no more formal attire!!! How I miss my T-shirts and baggy trousers!!!

I've juz watched MTV's Making the Video juz now. It's on Michelle Branch's Goodbye To You. Yaya, I know the song is very "ancient", but heck, I reaaly like it!! Personally, I think that song is Michelle's Best!! I espeacially like how the song is able to convey the sense of loss so well... Everytime I hear the song, I can't help but feeling a bit saddened... Espeacially the chorus part... Goodbye to you/ Goodbye to everything I thought I knew/ You are the one I loved/ The one thing I tried to hold on to... The fact that the lyrics are in past tense make the song so so sad... I love it!! >=)

VISITED AN OLD CLASSMATE

Juz got scolded by mum... "Irresponsible... Can't even take care of younger bro and sis... While they're busy working, I'm busy playing..." U know, stuff like that... What?! I juz go for a swim for about 1 n a half hour!! My younger bro is already 16!!! Can't he take care of my sis by now?? Does he still need babysitting?! And is swimming playing? ...Ok, it's kinda like playing, but it's sport also!!! Sigh... Guess I have to get used to all these...

Well, as the title suggested, I've visited an old classmate today... I juz get to know a few weeks ago that he's actually a brother of my sister's good friend!! And my, he has changed a lot!! ...Well, of course he changed a lot... It's been... er... 5 years since we last seen each other, during our primary skool life... Well, his attitude is still doesn't changed much, well-mannered, polite... But he's slimmer, taller and more good-looking than few years back... (Jealous jealous... Heehee) Funny, the only image I remembered on him is he coming out of the bathroom with a towel around his waste and all his body fat hanging down!! Haha... he have "shrink" a lot now...

Well, we chat about our present school life, further studies planned, old classmates, his hostel life n stuff like that... While my sis brought ALL EPISODES of Samurai X there, but only watched 3!!! Imagined, brought 94 episodes, n only watched 3!!! Then we, my sis n I, go to another the house of another friend of hers, in hope that I could borrow the Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X manga (comics), but her bro already borrowed it to his fren!! Wat a disappointment... I have visited Bookworm for around 3 times to rent the manga, but a stooopid guy have borrowed it a long time ago but have yet to returned the comics!! The entire series (28 books) summore... Sigh... Guess I have to borrowed from the comic shop near Taylor's after the second semester begins!!

LONGED TO RETURN TO COLLEGE AGAIN...

It's been a LONG LONG holiday... and if not for the teaching job I'm having, I probably wasted the whole holiday playing pc games, reading and sleeping... O I can't wait to return to college!! I actually missed classes... Weird, eh? But really... I'm juz too free in the holidays!! Even after working every morning, I can't help but feeling... wasted!! Even the idea of rushing to complete the Accumulating Projects are more appealing then wasting my time in this LONG LONG holiday... 8 more days... Can't wait!!! AAAAHHHH!!!!
MISSED INSIDE TAKEN... SIGH...

Here I am, typing an entry for my blog while I should be watching Inside Taken back at home... Sigh... I've already known I'll sure miss it if I join with my parents for dinner, since they are always busy with their work... Shucks... No replay summore... Hopefully I'll not missed the actual series starting tomorrow!!

What's this? Is blogger.com's interface changed or sumthing? It looks horrible, and so un-user-friendly... I hope it's not permanent or it's only bcos of my dad's pc...

FINALLY!! A GREAT SITE DEDICATED TO TOLKIEN'S INVENTED LANGUAGE!!

I've finally found a website about Tolkien's invented languages!! And a great one too, considering that it does not just covered Quenya (The Ancient Elvish Tongue) and Sindarin (The Noble Elvish Tongue), but also Adunaic (Westron), Khuzdul (Dwarvish), Entish, Rohirric and even The Black Speech!! Here's the link: www.ardalambion.com. Here's some example of the languages!!

(UPDATE: I've tried to insert the vowel innotation symbols, u know, two dots on top of 'e' and a '^' on top of 'u' and stuff like that... But it dun work in my blog... stupid bloggers.com!! So what that is shown below is not in the accurate form... Sigh...)

Quenya: laurie lantar lassi surinen, (Like gold fall the leaves in the wind,)
yeni unotime ve ramar aldarion! (Long years numberless as the wings of trees!)

Sindarin: A Elbereth Gilthoniel, (O Elbereth Starkindler,)
silivren penna miriel, (white-glittering, sparkling like jewels,)
o menel aglar elenath! (the glory of the starry host slants down!)

Khuzdul: Baruk Khazad! Khazad ai-menu! (Axes of the Dwarves! The Dwarves are upon you!)

Entish: Taurelilomea-tumbalemorna Tumbaletaurea Lomeanor (Forestmanyshadowed-deepvalleyblack Deepvalleyforested Gloomyland)

{Heehee... Entish is slow, sonorous, agglomerated, repetitive, and indeed long-winded... The above sentence means, more or less, "There is a black shadow in the deep dales of the forest." }

The Black Speech : Ash nazg durbatuluk, (One Ring to rule them all)
ash nazg gimbatul, (One Ring to find them)
ash nazg thrakatuluk (One Ring to bring them all)
agh burzum-ishi krimpatul (and in the darkness binds them)

Well, I have to admit, I'm not a linguist... But I'm really impressed by Tolkien's invented language... Each languages have their own style, grammar and structure... Can't imagine how much time he spent on those... For any of you who are interested in languages, go visit www.ardalambion.com!!!

3 YEARS GRACE PERIOD TO MALACCA-MANIPAL MEDICAL COLLEGE

Here's some update on the Malacca-Manipal Medical College I mentioned a few days ago... Teck Wei, take notice!!! Tell ur frens at Manipal too!! I picked up the main points in the News Straits Time, 4th of July 2003.

The Cabinet gave Malacca Manipal Medical College three years to overcome weaknesses in its medical programme and strictly comply with recommendation from of the Malaysian Medical Council... the Cabinet also directed the college to chenge its duration of medical programme from the Indian system of four and a half years to five years as required by Malaysian Goverment... The third batch of the mediacl students will be asked to to do the five years so that they can go straight into housemanship (i.e. skipped internship)... The council went to the college to ascertain the merits of accrediting the degree and found weaknesses in the system and gave the college one year to correct all the weaknesses, including course structure and clinical exposure during internship...

That's all the important stuff... So things aren't so bad after all!!! =D
INTIMIDATION... MY STUMBLING BLOCK...

Intimidation... I've heard of this word a long long time ago... But the first time I really took notice of it was when Jayne used that word to describe what many ppl feel when they are around a particular individual (=X)... I still dun understand then, but that word kinda... fascinated me... I keep repeating that word frequently since... And now I know y... I'm an easily intimidated person!!

Indeed, I've suffered from lack of confidence... Take today for example... I've gone swimming just now at 7.30 pm, and there's a bunch of guys playing in the swimming pool... And like always, I feel very lonely when I saw them enjoying themselves, while I swim alone... like so many times b4... =( I have this strong sense of longing just to talk with them, but I can't help but worried about wat if they juz ignored me? I dowan to suffer from rejection... So I juz keep on swimming myself, then go for a sauna.

Soon, the whole gang enter the sauna too... Wow, really crowded!! Earlier, I detected a horrible stench in the sauna... I suspect someone actually pee into the hot stones, where water is sprayed on to produce the steam... Luckily it's gone now... It was then that I notice that one of them is very familiar... (I have a good memory on remembering ppl's face, but certainly not Chinese names...) I really wanna ask him where is he studying at then, but juz can't... Intimidated... The are a gang, n I'm alone...

But after I muster sufficient courage, I ask if he's from Kwang Hua... Nope, he isn't... but he mentioned he's from Taylor's... Surprised, I told him that I'm from Taylor's too, CPU. And he too looked surprised, for he is also a CPU student!! Soon we both realized that we have seen each other b4 at college!! I always see him after my period 5 Chemistry class, n he's having Chemistry class at period 6, at the same classroom!!! Wa!!! That about chance meeting!! Then the whole gang started talking to me... But I have to get out of the sauna soon... They're crazy!!! They've poured two pails of water to the hot stones!! I felt like I'm cooked inside!!! Nevertheless, I got to chat with them... and I found out that it's not so bad after all!!!

I found out that the Taylor's guy is taking physics next semester, which I will also be taking... Hopefully we'll share the same class in the next semester!! When I was driving home, my face felt uncomfortably warm, and my, am I thirsty!!! I guess I stayed too long in the sauna... Around 25 minutes I think... I must remember not to stay long in sauna for long next time!!!

So that's about it... Now that I've clearly identified intimidation n lack of confidence as my weaknesses, I'll have to remove these stumbling blocks... Hope I can make it!!

HERE'S A JOKE TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE!!!

Two huntersare out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are grazed. The other man pulls out his handphone and calls emergency services.

He gasps at the operator, "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator replied, in a calm, soothing voice, "Take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead."

There is a silence, then a shot is heard.

Back on the phone, the hunter says, "Ok, what now?"

=D
POOR MALACCA-MANIPAL MEDICAL COLLEGE'S GRADUATES

The graduates of Malacca-Manipal Medical College need to sit for an "exit examination", which is meant for students from unrecognized universities, to be qualified as a doctor... I pity the first batch graduates... Imagine, after suffering for so long at Manipal College, India (The standard of living is very low there, and the course is also extremely tough), and 5 years of hard work, they have to sit for the test... My cousin is currently at Manipal studying medicine now... Personally, I think it's unfair that the Malaysian Medical Council requires the graduates to sit for the test, since the course had already received accrediatation from LAN (National Accreditation Board)... Then again, perhaps this wouldn't affect my cousin, since he's the fifth batch I think, and some corrective measures can be taken in this period of time... Well, I hope n pray that everything will be fine in the end!!

HUI LEEN TEACHES IN THE EVENING!!!

Wow!! Guess who I met today at school? Hui Leen, the daughter of my ex-secondary school principal, and also a many-years-classmates of mine!! She only teaches for 2 weeks though, for she's going back to Taylor's Business School then... She was asked [or perhaps, begged ;) ] by another old classmate of mine, Pei Ying, who happens to be the daughter of a teacher at the school I teaches. Complicated, eh? Sigh... Why does all my friends teach only in the afternoon, while I alone teaches at the morning session?! No fun... <=(

Oh and I got real mad juz now in the evening... First, I fetched my sis for tuition at 4pm. After a long drive, I reached home at 4.20pm, juz to leave at 4.30pm to fetch my bro... But I've forgotten where I'm supposed to fetch him!!! I try to contact him, but his handphone is not on!!! So first, I try A1 tuition centre... No luck... I called him, and this time he picked up the phone, and I heard that he's going to SMJK (C)Kwang Hua... So there I go... No luck... And then it started to rain... I call him again, and this time I'm really really mad... I shouted at him, but his handphone kept disconnected bcos of low battery... After many "attempts", I finally found out where he then was... with his fren at Bukit Raja...

I drived wildly there, and honk like mad when I found them... Once my bro stepped into the car, I shouted at him so badly that his fren was shocked till he was completely silent... I gotta go all the way to Berkeley Garden to drop his fren, then only I could turn back home... By the time we reached home, it's already 5.20pm. Guess what? Mum soon called up, asking me to fetch my sis!!! So there goes my 2 hours... And later I discovered a small part of my car is cacated bcos of the wild ride earlier!!!! Argh... Bad bad day!!! >=O
